OU: RAMADAN 2024 CHALLENGE
SUPPORTING THE WORLD IN BUILDING STRONGER COMMUNITIES
As we strive through the holy month of Ramadan, our hearts are filled with joy and a deep sense of gratitude for all that we have.
At OUR UMMAH, we have the privilege of serving ALLAH in providing our services to communities and make a difference in people's lives.
Welcome to our Fundraising Challenge for a great cause!
This Ramadan, we are excited to announce a unique way for you to give back to the community and help build a strong Islamic community in Uganda. Where you can give sadaqah and raise funds to support our efforts to improve the lives of the people in Uganda while being in for a chance of winning a PS5 or a Water Well (in your name).
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Participants will ask their friends and family to help them raise a specific target during Ramadan. You will have your own fundraising page that you can share with your network, and the more you raise, the better chance of you winning. It's a win-win situation!
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action". [Muslim].
WHERE DO RAISED FUNDS GO?
All funds raised from this challenge will go towards
building and improving our orphanage in Uganda.
We are currently raising funds via launchgood.com
to provide ouorphans with security and basic
essentials. This includes a Kitchen, School,
Wudu facility, Wall around compound and football
pitch.
CURRENTLY
The images being presented show the current facilities that are being utilised. However, it's important to consider the difference that can be made if we all come together. By uniting our efforts towards a common goal, we can create a positive impact on the Ugandan community and the environment. Every individual has the power to make a difference.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to provide the Muslim community in Uganda with a complete and comfortable place of worship. We believe that everyone should have access to a safe and hygienic environment to worship, learn, and connect with one another. By building a community water borehole, toilets, and carpet in the masjid, we hope to create an environment that promotes wellness, inclusivity, and a sense of community. We aim to create a space that reflects the importance of worship in Islam and provides an environment that inspires and uplifts the spirits of all who come to pray.
