The food bank
A parcel packed
just for you.
When money runs short, an emergency food parcel can bridge the gap. Here's exactly how to get one— the steps, the checks, and what's inside. Nothing to be nervous about.
What it is
More than a
tin of beans.
Every parcel is a proper shop — groceries, fresh surplus, toiletries, baby food if you need it. You choose what goes in; our volunteers pack it and set it aside with your name on it.
How to apply
Four steps, that's it
Step 1
Apply below
One short form — who you are, your situation, and the items you'd like. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can do it for yourself or for someone else.
Step 2
A few quick checks
We ask for ID and some evidence, like a benefits letter. It's not about proving you deserve help — it's how we make sure parcels reach the households in the hardest need.
Within 48 hours
You hear back
Every application gets a reply inside two days — no waiting in the dark, wondering if anyone saw it.
Step 4
Book your slot & collect
Collection from our hub — Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11am–1pm
Why the checks
Fair, not
faceless.
Because a parcel is a bigger commitment than a hot meal, we ask a few questions and for some evidence. It's the only way to make sure the food reaches the families in the deepest need — nothing more, nothing judged.
Good to know before you apply.

Fill this in once and it goes straight to the team. If you need food before it's sorted, the soup kitchens run every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm with no application at all.
Uploading proof from a phone?
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which the form can't read. Take a screenshot of your benefits letter instead — screenshots always upload. Accepted: PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, DOC, XLS.
Can't upload at all? Leave it — you can bring the letter with you when you collect.
