You're welcome here
Hi.
We're in this together.
Two ways we can help with food — pick the one that fits.
Things people often ask us
Can you deliver a parcel to me?+
No — we don't offer delivery. Parcels are collected from our hub (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11am–1pm). If you can't collect yourself, someone can apply and collect on your behalf — the form has an option for that.
Can I just walk into the food bank?+
The food bank isn't a walk-in — it works by application (the form on this page), then a booked collection slot. If you need food today, the soup kitchens ARE walk-in: Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm, no booking.
When will I hear back about my application?+
Within 48 hours, every time. If you're accepted, you'll get a link to book your collection slot — keep an eye on your texts and email.
Can I apply for someone else?+
Yes. The form asks whether the parcel is for you or for someone else — put their details in and we'll take it from there.
How many parcels can I get?+
One parcel per household every two months — that's how we keep them going to the households that need them most. The soup kitchens have no such limit; come every week if it helps.
What's in a parcel? What about dietary needs?+
You choose the items on the form — cereals, rice, pasta, tins, fresh surplus, baby food, hygiene basics and more (subject to availability). There's a box for dietary needs and allergies.
Do you do food vouchers?+
No — we provide food directly: hot meals at the soup kitchens and food parcels from the food bank.
I can't upload my evidence online.+
Don't let that stop your application — you can bring your evidence (like a benefits letter) with you in person instead.
Do I have to be religious to come?+
Not at all. AR Projects is a community organisation, open to absolutely everyone — no faith, background or paperwork required at the soup kitchens.
I have no recourse to public funds — can I still get help?+
Yes. The soup kitchens are open to everyone, no questions asked. The parcel form asks about your circumstances so we can help fairly — not about immigration status.
